How do you overcome setbacks and life’s most difficult circumstances?
Ceitci (Say-t-cee) Demirkova is the Founder and CEO of Changing a Generation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the social empowerment and educational development of orphans and underprivileged children living in impoverished communities in Eastern Europe and Africa.
Growing up in communist Bulgaria, Ceitci always believed there was something more to life. Today she lives in the US, and with over two decades of experience in the non-profit arena, cross-cultural communications and theological studies, Ceitci has become an internationally recognized speaker, leadership specialist and philanthropist. She has authored five books, including her autobiography If You Have God. Her latest book, Motivated by the Impossible, received three awards and became a #1 Amazon Best-Seller in Hot New Releases.
In our conversation, Ceitci shares her experience growing up in a communist country where everyone was forced to conform and the penalty for disobedience was too costly to risk. Ceitci describes her first experience with missionaries who came to Bulgaria after communism fell, and how she found God in the midst of a healing miracle. Now she travels and teaches others how recognize your invisible mentors and with God’s help, how you can turn life’s most difficult situations into stepping stones – used not to destroy you but to empower you to live a fulfilled life.
