Rajeev Daswani

As a serial entrepreneur and founder of a successful engineering company in Dubai, Rajeev Daswani noticed companies becoming more process driven rather than people focused. This led Rajeev on a personal journey of discovery of what makes people happy and how that impacts them at work.

Rajeev has since become the Chief Happiness Officer at MBS, a Workplace Happiness Center, as well as a certified Transformative Leadership Coach, certified Barretts Cultural Transformational Tools Practicioner, DiSC Workplace Certified Consultant, Wellbeing Consultant, and Certified CEPPS Consultant. He is a motivational speaker certified in the Science of Happiness, and is a Member of the International Coaching Federation, Dubai Chapter.

In today’s conversation with us, Rajeev shares his passion for empowering people to happiness and well-being, and how he helps clients uncover their purpose and go on a journey of self-transformation using his expertise as a Leadership Transformation Coach and Consultant.

We explore the importance of purpose and aligning personal and corporate core values among team members, so that everyone is happy and motivated to be their best at work. In Rajeev’s own words, happiness is every person’s birthright. When leaders empower their people, they are not only happier and more effective at work; they are also more likely to empower others, creating a ripple effect of happiness in the world.

Key Takeaways

  1. Most enterprises begin as a project of passion and then evolve into a system of processes.
  2. When process is driven by purpose and a shared vision it has a flavor that is unique.
  3. Transformation begins with the leadership of the organization.
  4. Find the shared personal core values among team members by going deeper into the meaning of each value.
  5. In order to remove biases it is best to have someone from the outside facilitate the process. That creates a safer environment for everyone to participate.
  6. Rather than define different generations, let’s step back and realize that everyone is human.
  7. If you never get challenged, you never uncover the gap.
  8. What is power if you don’t empower?
  9. If you give something to someone but you don’t show them how to get it for themselves, what have you really given them?
  10. Happiness is everyone’s birthright.
